ABOUT US
Since 1986 our founder Mike Belton has worked in a wide variety of destinations around the world, designing and operating activity, adventure and cultural tours. Somehow Turkey always pulled him back and, in 1994 he settled in the country and founded Amber Travel. Though retired now, Mike still takes an active interest in the company now run by Paul Forrester, who has been in the company since 2002, first as a trekking, biking and kayaking activity guide, then as operations manager since 2009. A naturalised Turkish citizen, Paul uses the Turkified name awarded to him, Polat Ormancı.

Amber Travel is a member of the Turkish Association of Travel Agents, license number 1377. This is ‘Class A’ agency status, the highest available. Amber Travel holds activity-specific public liability and accident insurance. Our registered address is: Yeni Cami Cad. 7/A, Kas, Antalya 07580, Turkey.
Paul Forrester - Partner and General Manager
Born and educated in Edinburgh, Scotland. Paul was a successful amateur racing cyclist before he moved to Turkey the country he loved the most in 1999, and has lived since then in Kaş, where Amber Travel is based.
Paul worked for many years as a tour leader and activity guide with Amber Travel representing Explore Worldwide and Activities Abroad, before moving into the office as Operations manager in 2009, and becoming a partner in the company.
Paul became General manager and senior partner in 2015.
A naturalized Turkish citizen, given the name Polat Ormanci, Paul is a certified translator of Turkish to English. Paul is married to Canan and has 2 children.
Serpil Uçar Kayahan - Partner and Operations Manager
Serpil was born in 1984 in the village of Sutlegen in the mountain of Lycia, the middle of three sisters.
Serpil completed her degree in Business administration Eskişehir Anatolian University.
After working as a teacher for 7 years, she moved to Kaş in 2011 and began working in our company as operations assistant before becoming a partner and operations manager in 2015.
Serpil is married to Mehmet and has one daughter.
Ali Sungulu - Partner
Ali was born in Palamut village, near Saklikent, Central Lycia in 1974. He worked as a diver of a local bus first in 1992, purchasing his own minibus in 1996. He and his brother Turan started working with Amber in 2003.
He founded Aslar Tourism Transport in 2006, and now owns a fleet of 35 vehicles providing quality transportation solutions to foreign tour companies, , and school bus services to local children outside the main tourism season.
Ali became a partner in Amber Travel in 2015.
Ali is married to Nazire and has two sons.
