Seakayaking

Seakayaking:

Silently discover the wonders of the natural world around you!

Sea-kayaking is a growing paddle-sport and one that is perfectly suited to Turkey’s Mediterranean climate. Amber Travel offers everything from day-trips to expedition kayaking along Turkey’s spectacular Lycian coastline, also known as the Turquoise Coast. Amid seas of jaw-droppingly beautiful hues and intensities lie secluded bays, tiny islands and unspoiled villages.

The most popular taster-route in the region is a day-trip at Kekova Sound. Gliding over the ruins at Kekova Island and paddling across to explore Simena village, is as enjoyable for beginners as it is for experienced paddlers. Simena village, topped by a medieval castle and garlanded with flowers, is accessible only from the sea or on foot. This very attractive village has no roads and no cars.

Multi-day expedition trips explore secluded bays and remote islands, camping under the stars on quiet beaches. To add excitement to your journey you can see loggerhead turtles, flying fish, and occasionally dolphin.
